Beattles Rockband

By now, the word Rock band is as common as ipod, and in some cases evokes memories of legendary battles in basements with friends. Therefore there's no need to describe Rock band. Commercially it is a hit, giving avid gamers the opportunity to rock out like a rock star, or at least that's how it feels. But Rock band would not be Rock band without a Beatles song! Wait, why did The Beatles breakup? Money, copyrights, and money from copyrights....So, Rock band did not include a Beatle song, no surprise there. Until......yes....It was made to be, the Beatles Rock band arrived. For some, it might bring flashbacks of times past, but for most new players it will have them singing Beatle songs for the next couple of weeks. The phenomenon that was The Beatles re surges once again in America. The music they produced undoubtedly is some of the best ever recorded. Hopefully it will inspire a new age of musicians to take up instruments. Rock on!

ESPN against SOCCER!

Has anyone heard of soccer in the United States? Don't answer that! We can thank ESPN for annihilating us with non-stop analysis of major league baseball highlights and in-depth coverage of college football defensive schemes. Or is it maybe that ESPN has no good U.S. soccer news to report?...Is not the U.S. team qualifying for the World Cup deserving of some expert coverage, or a front page that last more than 5 hours? If you're into soccer and have gone to the ESPN page, you know that the only link to soccer is about the same size as this font!..."Wait a minute!", you inject, "what about ESPNSoccernet?"...Have you gone too that page? It will take you about 10 minutes to find any substantial information on the status of the U.S. soccer team. In these search days that's ridiculous!!!...Their coverage on European Soccer is the best in the business, hands down! In the end it all comes down to what makes money. In Europe, soccer is gold! Here in the states soccer is as relevant as the NFL's unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after a winning touchdown is scored!

Comedian of the Year

Demetri Martin......ever heard of him? Most comedians seem to follow a script, a set of ideas. Most of these ideas have long been thought of. Demetri Martin on the other hand has revolutionized the way stand up comedy should be done. He's not infamously famous like Jerry Seinfeld, or overly charismatic like George Lopez, yet he fills a void. Martin throws out a an agglomeration of random ideas turned jokes, and through the strings of a guitar he seems to weave them together. Its as if he sits in room , or walks around the city and meditates on how he can turn something ordinary in life, into something funny. If he had the brains of an inventor it would Thomas Edison's. His comedy is oddly as it may sound educational at times, and makes try to look at the world in a sarcastically new way! Look him up on YouTube under "Demetri Martin stand up".
